  “In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.” Psalm 18:6 (KJV) The God we serve is a God who answers prayers. He knows our needs before we even ask Him for help. He instituted prayer after the downfall of mankind to give us the opportunity to fellowship with Him. No wonder our Lord Jesus Christ said that at all times we ought to pray and not give up or lose heart (Luke 18:1).  The psalmist cried out to God in his distress, and God heard him and attended to his needs. Dear beloved, don’t wait till you get into trouble before you pray. Pray every day at least three times a day (Psalm 55:17). Prayer is fellowship with your heavenly Father; it is not always about asking God to meet your needs. Pray for your community and your nation so that the will of God will be established.   “The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Nahum 1:7 (KJV) The LORD is good. Goodness is the nature of the King of glory (Psalms 100:5). Knowing that God is good prompts you to give Him praise. He has given you life to live on this earth. It is not by chance that you are alive today; God made it so. His creation of heaven and earth and everything therein is a demonstration of His goodness (Genesis 1:1–31). He feeds all creation, including you, every day; He protects you from trouble and danger. For these and many other things He has been doing for us, He wants us to trust Him.  Beloved, sometimes He allows us to go through challenges so that we can be trained for the tough times ahead of us. In the midst of the trying times, He still wants us to trust Him. Dear beloved, you or your family or dear one may be going through tough times. The Lord knows about it; this is not the time to give up on God; He knows those who trust in Him. V
