OUR LEGAL AUTHORITY TO USE: Daily Devotional

OUR LEGAL AUTHORITY TO USE: Daily Devotional

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it (John 14:13-14).

When we say that Jesus gave us authority to use His name, many don't understand what that means. The term "power of attorney" refers to a legal power of attorney that gives a specific person authority to act on your behalf. Therefore, it means that every request

you make is as if Jesus were doing it, since you are doing it in His name.

The apostle John said in some of his writings: vividly captures the words of Jesus further clarifying the legal authority of given to us in His name. For example, in John 14:13-14 Jesus said, "And whatever ye ask in my name I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.” Here the Lord was speaking of claiming His name. This is extraordinary.

It's like what Paul tells us in Colossians 3:17: “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus…". There is another beautiful reference at John 16:23; says: "And on that day you will not ask me anything.

Verily, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father

on my behalf, he will give you."

When he said: "And on that day …” the Lord was referring to the day of the new deal, the day of salvation, which He came to complete. That day began with His resurrection. So we are in "that day" where we use his name and live in him. If you've ever wondered why we use the

Name of Jesus in prayer all around the world, here's why.

So use His name right now to make changes in your world. He told us we could and you should! Address the affairs of your nation, your physical body, your workplace, your school, etc. in His name and expect a change.

Dear Father, Thank you for giving me the authority to use Use the matchless name of Jesus to effect change and control circumstances.

In the name of Jesus I speak peace among the nations; I declare that the gospel has free rein in the nations of the world. I walk in victory and dominion today and always, for I live and do all things by power in Jesus' name. Amen.

The importance of prayer - Daily Devotional

Bible Verse: "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Prayer is one of the most important aspects of a Christian's life. It is our way of communicating with God, and through prayer, we can pour out our hearts, express our gratitude, and ask for guidance and help. Prayer is a powerful tool that can change our lives and the lives of those around us. In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Paul urges us to "rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." This verse reminds us that prayer is not just something we do when we need something from God, but it should be a constant part of our lives. We should pray continually, not just when we are in trouble or need help, but also in times of joy and thanksgiving. Through prayer, we can strengthen our relationship with God and seek His will for our lives. When w...

What are the seven steps to knowing God? - Bible Teachings

While there isn't a specific list of "seven steps" to knowing God mentioned in the Bible, there are certain principles and practices that can help deepen our relationship with Him. Let's explore seven important steps along with relevant Bible verses: 1.   Seeking God with a sincere heart: o Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV) - "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." o Psalm 119:2 (NIV) - "Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart." Explanation: To know God, we must seek Him with genuine sincerity and wholeheartedness. He promises to be found by those who earnestly seek Him. 2. Believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior: o John 3:16 (NIV) - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." o Acts 16:31 (NIV) - "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." Exp...

Are there any historical or archaeological findings supporting God's existence? - Bible Teachings

The Bible is not a historical or archaeological textbook, but it contains historical accounts and references to real places, events, and people. While it does not provide direct archaeological proof of God's existence, some archaeological findings and historical evidence have been interpreted by scholars as supporting the biblical narratives. Let's explore some Bible teachings on this topic, along with relevant historical and archaeological considerations: 1. Historical and Archaeological Context: The Bible is rooted in historical and cultural contexts, and many of its events and locations are consistent with historical records and archaeological discoveries. Luke 2:1-3: The Gospel of Luke provides a historical context by mentioning the census during the time of Caesar Augustus, which aligns with known historical events. Acts 18:12-17: This passage mentions the proconsul Gallio, a historical figure whose existence is supported by ancient inscriptions. 2. Discoveries Supportin...
