“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” Proverbs 23:18 (KJV)
God's children have many expectations while living in God's kingdom. In fact, before being born again, a person is filled with many expectations of this new life in Christ. The opening Scripture wants to assure us that there is an ending or the fulfillment of what we expect of Him. No wonder His Word said He would do much more than we ask or understand, according to the power at work in us (Ephesians 3:20). . Beloved, what we need to know is that we can have many
expectations of God, but not all of those expectations can be fulfilled.
The only ones that can be fulfilled are those that have their foundation in the Word of God. In other words, seek the scriptures that have answers to your expectations, believe them, and proclaim them daily for the Holy Spirit to work on. Just as the farmer plants and waits patiently for the harvest, so we must wait patiently as we continue to preach the word, and expectations will be fulfilled. Remember how God worked with the Holy Spirit during Creation and emulate Him. When he said there would be light, the Holy Spirit acts on the Word to bring light (Genesis 1:2-3).
Beloved, learn to walk in communion with the Holy Spirit each day and He will make your declarations come true. Hallelujah! Glory to Jesus Christ!
