Walking By Faith - Daily Devotional

Verse: "For we walk by faith, not by sight." - 2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV)

Devotional:

As Christians, our journey is one of faith. We are called to walk by faith, not by what we see or understand with our natural senses. This can be both a challenging and a rewarding path. Walking by faith means trusting in God's promises even when circumstances seem uncertain or difficult. It means believing that God's plan is greater than our understanding.

Imagine walking in a dense fog, unable to see more than a few steps ahead. In life, we often face situations where we can't see the road ahead clearly. It's during these moments that our faith is put to the test. But just as a person walking in the fog relies on each step they take, we can rely on God with every step we take in our faith journey.

The Bible tells us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). It's like having a confident assurance in God's promises even when we can't tangibly see them coming to pass. Our faith is not blind; it's based on the character and trustworthiness of God.

Walking by faith also involves surrendering our own plans and desires to God. It's recognizing that His ways are higher and His thoughts are greater than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). As we surrender, we allow God to lead us and guide us, even in the midst of uncertainty.

Today, let's remind ourselves that our faith is not in vain. It's a powerful force that connects us to our Creator and sustains us through life's challenges. When doubts arise, when the path seems unclear, remember the words of 2 Corinthians 5:7: "For we walk by faith, not by sight." Choose to trust, believe, and keep walking forward, confident that God is leading you every step of the way.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of faith. Help me to trust in You even when I can't see the way ahead. Strengthen my faith and remind me that Your plans for me are good. I choose to surrender my desires and plans to You, knowing that You are in control. Guide me, lead me, and help me walk by faith every day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

He Will Lift You Up - Daily Devotional

Bible Verse: Psalm 34:18-19 (NIV) - "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all." Devotional: Life is full of trials and challenges that can weigh us down and leave us feeling broken and weary. In moments of despair, it's reassuring to know that our Heavenly Father is always by our side, ready to lift us up and provide solace to our wounded spirits. Psalm 34:18-19 reminds us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. It's a comforting thought that even in our lowest moments, God's presence is a source of strength and refuge. He sees our pain and is moved by our struggles, offering a hand to lift us from the depths of despair. As Christians, we can find hope and encouragement in God's promises. When life's troubles seem overwhelming, we can turn to Him in prayer and seek His comfort. Just as...

Make Time for God: Daily Devotional

“Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” Psalms 5:1-3 (KJV) Making enough time each day to meet with God is sure to lead to your breakthrough. There was something King David did that help him to enjoying victory from time to time. It was about the quality of time spent with God. He spent time in fellowship with God in the mornings, meditating on God's Word. There were times when he prayed three times a day (Psalm 55:17). My beloved, do not rush to work or any activity in the morning without first praying. A Christian's prayer life is his lifeline; The moment you stop praying, you begin to die (Luke 18:1). You cannot succeed by your own grace or power; Therefore, make time to pray and meditate on the Word of God, and God will cause you to walk in victory and en...

What is the favor of God, and how can I get it? - Bible Teachings

The concept of the favor of God is found throughout the Bible, and it generally refers to God's kindness, grace, and blessings bestowed upon individuals. Here are some key teachings on the favor of God and how to attain it: 1. Seek God's Will: Proverbs 3:5-6 advises us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not rely on our understanding. When we seek and align ourselves with God's will, we are more likely to receive His favor. 2. Humility: The Bible often emphasizes the importance of humility. In James 4:6, it is said that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humility opens the way for God's favor in our lives. 3. Faith: Hebrews 11:6 teaches that without faith, it's impossible to please God. Trusting in God's promises and having faith in His goodness can attract His favor. 4. Obedience: God's favor is often linked to obedience to His commandments. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 states that if we diligently obey the voice of the Lord, H...
