A GOOD REPORT FROM GOD: Daily Devotional

A GOOD REPORT FROM GOD: Daily Devotional

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report (Hebrews 11:1-2).

How would you like to have a good record from God? Our opening verse says that by faith the elders of our spiritual family received a good record from God. If you want God to be celebrated, if you want to praise Him, it must be through your acts of faith. No wonder he says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him..."
(Hebrews 11:6).

The Bible says, "By faith Abraham, as he was called to go to a place that would later be inherited in, obeyed; and left without knowing where he was going.

By faith he dwelt as a pilgrim in the promised land, as in a strange land, and dwelt in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise; for he was looking for a city having foundations, of which God is the builder and builder” (Hebrews 11:8-10). As a result, James 2:23 says, "...Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called the friend of God."

What about Enoch? Genesis 5: 24 says: “And Enoch walked with God and disappeared; because God took him away.” Hebrews 11:5 tells us more; it says: “By faith Enoch was caught up that he should not see death; and it was not found because God translated it; for before his transfer he had this testimony which pleased God. “ Hallelujah!

Read about all the other heroes of the faith in Hebrews 11; those of the greatness of Abel, Noah, Samuel, Isaac, Sarah, Joseph, Moses, Barac, Samson, etc. The Bible says they gained reputation by faith. However, we notice something striking that the Bible tells us: They did not receive the promise because God had something better in store for us: "These were true heroes, praised by their faith, but they lived in hope without them to receive the fullness of what he had promised them.

But now God has invited us to live in something better than they had: the fullness of faith...” (Hebrews 11:39- 40 TPT).

So we have no excuses; Express your faith every day. Live the life of faith. Practice the Word of God, because faith acts according to the Word! This is the way to get a good record from God and to walk in the glory and blessings of Christ.

Trusting in God's Provision - Daily Devotional

Bible Verse: Philippians 4:19 (NIV) - "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." As Christians, we are called to trust in God's provision for our lives. God, who is our heavenly Father, knows our needs and promises to meet them according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. We can find great comfort and assurance in this promise, knowing that our God is faithful and will provide for us. In our daily lives, we often face situations where we may feel anxious or worried about our needs - be it financial, emotional, relational, or spiritual. We may encounter challenges that seem insurmountable or circumstances that are beyond our control. In such moments, it is easy to rely on our own efforts or resources, but the Bible reminds us to trust in God's provision. Trusting in God's provision requires an active faith that relies on God's promises rather than our own understanding or circumstances. It involves surr...
