Bible Verse: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." - Matthew 6:33
As a Christian, it's essential to have priorities that align with the kingdom of God. Our ultimate goal should always be to seek His kingdom and righteousness. This means that we should make our relationship with God a top priority and allow Him to guide our every step.
When we put God first, everything else in our lives will fall into place. We don't have to worry about our basic needs because God promises to provide for us. Jesus said in Matthew 6:31-32, "So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them."
Putting God first can be challenging in a world that constantly bombards us with distractions and demands our attention. It requires discipline and commitment to spend time with God daily, seeking His will, and making decisions that align with His word.
One way to seek God's kingdom is by prioritizing time with Him through prayer and reading the Bible. Another way is by living a life that reflects His righteousness. This means treating others with love, kindness, and respect, even when it's difficult. It also means forgiving others as God has forgiven us.
As we seek God's kingdom and righteousness, we can trust that He will provide for all our needs. We can live with peace and confidence, knowing that our priorities are in line with His will.
Prayer: Dear God, help me to seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all else. Give me the strength and discipline to make time for You each day, and help me to live a life that reflects Your love and grace. Thank you for providing for all my needs and guiding me on the path of righteousness. Amen.
