What are the 5 ways of knowing God? - Bible Teachings

Sure, I'd be happy to provide you with some Bible teachings on the topic of knowing God. There are various ways through which we can know God, and here are five of them explained in detail with relevant Bible verses:

  1. Through Creation: The natural world around us reveals the glory and power of God.
Bible Verse: Psalm 19:1 - "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."
  2. Through His Word (Scripture): The Bible is God's written revelation of Himself and His will.
Bible Verse: 2 Timothy 3:16 - "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness."
  3. Through Prayer: Communicating with God and seeking His presence helps us know Him intimately.
Bible Verse: Philippians 4:6-7 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
  4. Through Jesus Christ: Jesus is the incarnate Son of God and the ultimate revelation of God's love and character.
Bible Verse: John 14:9 - "Jesus answered: 'Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.'"
  5. Through the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit dwells in believers, guiding and revealing the truth about God.
Bible Verse: John 16:13-14 - "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you."

By engaging in these five ways of knowing God, we can grow in our understanding of His character, and His will for our lives, and deepen our relationship with Him.

The Goodness of God - Daily Devotional

Verse: Psalm 100:5 (NIV) - "For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." Devotional: Today, let us reflect on the profound truth that God is good. His goodness is not contingent on our circumstances, but it remains constant, unwavering, and eternal. In Psalm 100:5, we are reminded that the Lord's goodness is inseparable from His enduring love, and His faithfulness transcends generations. As you begin your day, consider the goodness of God in the light of your own life. Think about the moments when His goodness has been evident, whether through answered prayers, unexpected blessings, or moments of divine guidance. God's goodness surrounds us, and even in challenges, there is a purpose that unfolds through His love. In times of joy, acknowledge the goodness of God with gratitude. In times of trial, trust in His goodness, knowing that He works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Take a ...

DOMINION OVER DEATH AND HELL: Daily Devotional

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death  (Revelation 1:18). After Adam's disobedience, the Bible came that death came upon all men: “Therefore sin came into the world through man, and death through sin; and so death came to all men, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12). Death was associated with sin, and when Adam committed treason in the Garden of Eden by obeying Satan, death began to affect every human being. Satan gained freedom from the plague of man with sickness and infirmity. , destruction and eventual death at his will. But when Jesus came in  , things changed. Men and women who had been held captive by the fear of death all their lives were delivered through Jesus Christ's victory over death and grave (Hebrews 2:14-15). Jesus went straight to Hell, Satan's kingdom, paralyzed Satan and his minions and obtained the keys of death and Hell! He faced the problem of death when he rose triu...

Partakers of the divine nature: Daily Devotional

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. -   2 Peter 1:4  Of course, participating in divine nature does not mean becoming a god. You can't. The essence of God is not that the creation participates in him. There must always be, in essence, an impassable abyss between the creature and the Creator. However, just as the first man, Adam, was created in the image of God, so we too, being renewed by the Holy Spirit, are created in a more divine sense in the image of the Highest, so that we participate in the divine nature. We are made like God by grace. "God is love"; we become love “The one who loves is the one who is born of God.” God is truth. We love what is true and true. God is good, and by his grace he has made us good    so that we can see God with a pure heart. Moreover, we become partakers of the divine nature in...
