YOUR CONFESSIONS RULE YOUR LIFE: Daily Devotional

YOUR CONFESSIONS RULE YOUR LIFE: Daily Devotional

I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely and in Him I [confidently] trust! (Psalm 91:2 AMPC).

Often we think of certain things that happened to some very "good" people and say, "If this could happen to such and such, what about me? That guy was better than me! Well, it has nothing to do with who is better than who. It has to do with your personal walk with the Lord and your faith in His Word. It has to do with your creeds.

Bad things can happen to good people.

Recall the anointed words of the psalmist that we read in our first passage of scripture. It was David's confession and it has to be your confession too. From time to time you say, “The Lord is my refuge and my stronghold; He is my God; In Him I lean and trust, and in Him I trust with confidence!"

Learn the power and value of thinking well and speaking well. If you think wrong, it will be reflected in your words. And if your words are wrong, things will go wrong in your life. Your confessions rule your life. The Bible says, "You are caught by the words of your mouth, you are caught by the words of your mouth" (Proverbs 6:2).

No wonder Psalm 39:1 warns that you guard what you say and speak only what is right: “...I will watch my ways, so as not to sin with my tongue: I will guard my mouth with a bridle....

” James 3:2 says: “For in many things we offend everyone. If one does not sin with words, he is a perfect man and can also bridle the whole body.”

Proverbs 15:4 says, “A healthy tongue is a tree of life...”; A sound tongue is one that speaks according to Christ's terms in His gospel. Do you want to live the amazing and transcendent life of ever-increasing glory that God has ordained for you? The key is your confession: "Whoever wants to love life and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil, and his lips speak no deceit" (1 Peter 3:10).

Keeping your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit means you speak only according to the Word of God.

Happiness - Daily Devotional

Bible Verse: "This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalm 118:24 Happiness is something that we all desire and seek in our lives. It is a feeling of contentment, joy, and satisfaction. As Christians, we know that our ultimate source of happiness is God. However, sometimes in our daily lives, we can get caught up in the challenges and struggles we face, and we forget to be happy and grateful for what we have. The Bible verse above reminds us that every day is a gift from God, and we should rejoice and be glad in it. No matter what we may face in our daily lives, we can always find something to be grateful for and something to be happy about. It could be something as small as a beautiful sunrise, a kind word from a friend, or a moment of peace in our hearts. As Christians, we have the assurance that no matter what we face, God is with us, and He will never leave us or forsake us. This should bring us great joy and happiness, even in the mids...

What does it mean to know God intimately - Bible Teachings

To know God intimately means having a deep and personal relationship with Him, where we experience His presence, understand His character, and align our lives with His will. Let's explore this concept in detail with some Bible verses: 1. Experiencing God's Presence: o Psalm 16:11 (NIV) - "You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." o James 4:8a (NIV) - "Come near to God and he will come near to you." Explanation: Knowing God intimately involves experiencing His presence in our lives. When we draw near to Him with sincerity, He draws near to us, filling us with joy and providing guidance for our journey. 2. Understanding God's Character: o Exodus 34:6 (NIV) - "And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, 'The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.'" o 1 John 4:8b (NIV) - "...

The Peace Of The Lord - Daily Devotional

“ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. “ - John 14:27   - INSPIRATION - The good Lord we serve has promised us his peace. No matter what the enemy brings in our way, in this world, we still have the promise of our God. He will not leave us either forsaking us. So don't worry when you go through all manner of troubles and crises, He will deliver us from them all and give us eternal peace.  When you have no strength to fight your adversary the Lord will battle for you and you will hold your peace.  The Prince of peace is with us, for the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but his kindness shall not depart from us, neither shall his covenant of peace be removed from his people. Our God is a covenant keeping God, he will not break his covenant with his people. The Almighty God has a covenant of peace with his people, and he will give us peace ...
