CONNECT WITH YOUR FAITH: Daily Devotional

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).

The apostle Paul let us know in our opening verse that we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ. He reinforces the idea at 1 Corinthians 3:21 when he says, "...all things are thine." Similarly, the apostle Peter tells us that "...the divine power hath given us all things of life and godliness..." (2 Peter 1:3 NIV).

It is one thing to know that you have been blessed with and in all things, but it is quite another to actually own the blessings.

The key is to connect with your faith; this is what Abraham did.

In Genesis 17:5 NIV God said to him: “…I have made you the father of many nations.” Abraham associated with his faith; it had to do with his mind's eye.

The Bible says that Abraham believed God and it was credited to him for righteousness. He believed because he visualized the reality of his children while trying to count the stars (Genesis 15:5). By faith he saw and accepted the reality of God's Word in his spirit, spoke it and it happened. Romans 4:20-22 says: “He doubted not the promise of God through unbelief; but he was strengthened in faith, and gave glory to God; And firmly convinced that he could keep what he had promised. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.”

Learn to visualize and record God's provision for you in Christ Jesus. Refuse to waver from unbelief in God's Word; Take control of your blessings in your mind first and speak them forward.

Overflowing Blessings - Daily Devotional

Verse of the Day: Psalm 23:5 (NIV) "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows." Devotional:   As Christians, we are recipients of God's overflowing blessings. Just as a cup overflows when filled to its brim, God's blessings pour into our lives abundantly. In Psalm 23, we see a vivid picture of God's provision and care. The verse reminds us that even in the midst of challenges and adversities, God prepares a table for us, symbolizing His constant provision and protection. God's blessings go beyond our needs. They overflow into every area of our lives—our relationships, work, health, and spiritual growth. But how can we position ourselves to receive these overflowing blessings? 1. Gratitude: Expressing gratitude for what we have opens the door for more blessings. When we appreciate the little things, God honors our thankful hearts. Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV) "Give thanks in all circu...

Walking By Faith - Daily Devotional

Verse: "For we walk by faith, not by sight." - 2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV) Devotional: As Christians, our journey is one of faith. We are called to walk by faith, not by what we see or understand with our natural senses. This can be both a challenging and a rewarding path. Walking by faith means trusting in God's promises even when circumstances seem uncertain or difficult. It means believing that God's plan is greater than our understanding. Imagine walking in a dense fog, unable to see more than a few steps ahead. In life, we often face situations where we can't see the road ahead clearly. It's during these moments that our faith is put to the test. But just as a person walking in the fog relies on each step they take, we can rely on God with every step we take in our faith journey. The Bible tells us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). It's like having a confident assurance in God's promises e...

What is the favor of God, and how can I get it? - Bible Teachings

The concept of the favor of God is found throughout the Bible, and it generally refers to God's kindness, grace, and blessings bestowed upon individuals. Here are some key teachings on the favor of God and how to attain it: 1. Seek God's Will: Proverbs 3:5-6 advises us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not rely on our understanding. When we seek and align ourselves with God's will, we are more likely to receive His favor. 2. Humility: The Bible often emphasizes the importance of humility. In James 4:6, it is said that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humility opens the way for God's favor in our lives. 3. Faith: Hebrews 11:6 teaches that without faith, it's impossible to please God. Trusting in God's promises and having faith in His goodness can attract His favor. 4. Obedience: God's favor is often linked to obedience to His commandments. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 states that if we diligently obey the voice of the Lord, H...
