GROWING BY THE WORD: Daily Devotional

GROWING BY THE WORD: Daily Devotional

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2).

Growth isn't a miracle and it shouldn't take a miracle; it is the result of the application of revealed principles and means. Growth is inherent in life; it is a natural course of life. Everything that has life grows; it is one of the characteristics that distinguish living things from inanimate ones.

As a Christian, your spiritual growth is very important, and it is only through the Word that you can grow. The Word of God is food for the human spirit.

1. Peter 2:2 says, "As newborn children desire the pure milk of the word, that in it you may grow." The word of God builds you up and transforms your life from glory to glory.

James 1:21 says, "...accept in gentleness the implanted word, which can save your souls." It's like natural seeds that can only grow properly if planted in the right environment. If you want to grow spiritually, you must expose your spirit to the Word; you must feed on the Word.

That's one of the reasons you should be an active member of a local church where you will learn the word of God that will build faith and strengthen your spirit. Conduct your personal study of the Word; this is so important that 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Do your best to present yourself approved to God, a worker with no need to be ashamed, handling the word of truth rightly."

Then 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is inspired of God and useful to teach, to rebuke, to correct, and to instruct iniquity:
So that the man God's perfect, well prepared for everything. good job." Notice the underlined part.

How exciting it is to see you grow into spiritual maturity! You notice that your choices and values are changing. Their passion and affection are directed only to the things of the spirit. Not everyone can do that for you; it is your responsibility. God has already fulfilled His role in making His Word available to you.

He said in Colossians 3:16: "May the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom..."

With the word within you you can overcome life crises. You can take control of your health. You know how to keep Satan and his minions at bay. You are enforcing the will and dominion of Christ in your city, nation, and the nations of the world. This is part of Christian growth. Hallelujah!

His Plans Are Good - Daily Devotional

Verse: Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Devotional: Today, let us take comfort in the assurance that our heavenly Father has plans for us, plans that are filled with goodness and hope. It's easy to become anxious or uncertain about the future, but God's Word reminds us that His intentions for our lives are nothing short of remarkable. In Jeremiah 29:11, we discover a promise that speaks directly to our hearts. God is not a distant observer of our lives; He is intimately involved, and His plans for us are purposeful. Even when circumstances appear challenging, we can trust that God's intentions are for our ultimate well-being. In times of uncertainty, we often question what the future holds. However, God invites us to place our trust in Him, the One who knows the end from the beginning. As we do so, we can find peace in the know...

The Goodness of God - Daily Devotional

Verse: Psalm 100:5 (NIV) - "For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." Devotional: Today, let us reflect on the profound truth that God is good. His goodness is not contingent on our circumstances, but it remains constant, unwavering, and eternal. In Psalm 100:5, we are reminded that the Lord's goodness is inseparable from His enduring love, and His faithfulness transcends generations. As you begin your day, consider the goodness of God in the light of your own life. Think about the moments when His goodness has been evident, whether through answered prayers, unexpected blessings, or moments of divine guidance. God's goodness surrounds us, and even in challenges, there is a purpose that unfolds through His love. In times of joy, acknowledge the goodness of God with gratitude. In times of trial, trust in His goodness, knowing that He works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Take a ...
