THE ENEMY IS BENEATH YOUR FEET: Daily Devotional

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”  - Luke 10:17–19 In Luke 10 we see our Lord Jesus sending out the seventy disciples like “the Lambs among wolves” into the kingdom of darkness. In today's Bible, look at the conversation the Seventy had with the Lord Jesus when he returned. Friends, the authority and authority our Lord Jesus gave them    is the authority and authority we believers have today! Romans 16:20 declares that the God of peace will crush Satan under our feet! He is a defeated enemy. The Bible is very consistent and always has the devil under his feet (Genesis 3:15; Ephesians 1:22). You are not swayed by enemy attacks. Don't put him on the pedestal as    he rules you. Remember that in Chr

LET JESUS SAVE YOU : Daily Devotional

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.   - Psalm 46:1 Do you think that you are working hard but the results are not coming out? You may feel like you are at a dead end in your career. Or maybe everything you've tried to save your marriage isn't working. Perhaps your hard work has to do with raising children. No matter how much effort you put into    your child, your relationship is getting colder every day. My friend, now is not the time to give up, but to listen to your wonderful    Savior, Jesus. Listen to him. Instead of relying on your experience and knowledge, rely on Him. you are not alone. Our Lord Jesus told Peter to cast “nets” (plural in Luke 5:4). The request made no sense to Peter because he and his fishermen worked all night and caught nothing. Nevertheless, Peter said in the singular, “You say, I will let down my nets” (Luke 5:5). Naturally, the net began to break and Peter had to call    his friends for help. Jesus is an immediate help

WHAT THE SAVIOR ENDURED : Daily Devotional

His visage was marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men.   - Isaiah 52:14 Our Lord Jesus chose    bread and wine as    elements of the Lord's Supper. Because they are a visual reminder of what happened to him when he was crucified. Both grains and grapes have to go through a grinding process to get bread or wine. Just eating grapes doesn't make wine. The grapes must be crushed first    and then thoroughly crushed. Then they are    left in the dark for fermentation. This is what happened to our Lord Jesus. It is important for our health to discern the    body of the Lord. Take time each time you partake of his bruised body while eating bread. Receive a revelation of what He has done for you and meditate on the process the bread had to go through. In Jesus' day, in order to obtain bread, the wheat stalks    had to be beaten first (Judges 6:11 NASB) or threshed with a sledgehammer (Isaiah 41:15). It was a violent process in which wheat was beaten, cru

GATHERED UNDER HIS WINGS : Daily Devotional

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate.”  - Luke 13:34–35 A beautiful picture is hidden in    Psalm 91:4. A photo of a mother hen protecting her chicks. The scriptures quoted above record how the Lord Jesus    wept over Jerusalem. Later, while mourning Jerusalem, Jesus said: They will not leave a stone in you, because you do not know when you will visit” (Luke 19:43-44). The Greek word for “weep” in verse 41, klayo, means to move emotionally enough to weep and weep. Do you see the merciful mercy of the Lord toward Israel when many tears are shed for Israel? He wanted him to gather Israel under his feathers as a    hen gathers her chicks under his wings, but Jehovah could not protect them because they rejected him. I believe that when our Lord wept, he not only foresaw th

Arm Yourself Against Evil Day : Daily Devotional

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. - Ephesians 6:13 The apostle Paul was truly a man of God and received divine revelation. He knew through the gift of the word of knowledge that there were evil days in the lives of every child of God. For example, he met some of them in situations such as being stoned, whipped, and insulted (2 Corinthians 11:23-27). His worst evil day was when he was beheaded. Our Lord Jesus Christ also faced the worst of evil days when he was whipped and crucified. All    of God's people in the Old    and    New Testaments have experienced times of hardship. Every Christian will face an evil day. So the first verse of the Bible gives us the key to resisting evil. You must put on the full armor of God. The full armor is the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness,    the boots of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (E

Partakers of the divine nature: Daily Devotional

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. -   2 Peter 1:4  Of course, participating in divine nature does not mean becoming a god. You can't. The essence of God is not that the creation participates in him. There must always be, in essence, an impassable abyss between the creature and the Creator. However, just as the first man, Adam, was created in the image of God, so we too, being renewed by the Holy Spirit, are created in a more divine sense in the image of the Highest, so that we participate in the divine nature. We are made like God by grace. "God is love"; we become love “The one who loves is the one who is born of God.” God is truth. We love what is true and true. God is good, and by his grace he has made us good    so that we can see God with a pure heart. Moreover, we become partakers of the divine nature in    a much

The Name Of Christ Cannot fail: Daily Devotional

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. - Acts 2:21                                  Jesus Christ lived a wonderful life on earth. He never failed in his earthly ministry. He died, rose again, and ascended into heaven. Before his ascension, he left a legacy in his name that we can use to achieve his goals. His name has the the the same authority he used when he walked on this earth. If an unregenerate person calls on his name with a repentant heart, he is saved and has eternal life. When    one who has been born again calls on his name, his name works on him, Mark 16:17-18. The name of Christ cannot be mistaken. It has the power to save and work miracles. But this will not work for those who use it in vain or take his name for granted. This is the name of God. Therefore, he should be respected, respected, and worshiped. As believers in Christ Jesus, know that the name of Jesus Christ is your heritage to be cherished and used righte

STAND STILL: Daily Devotional

“Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. . . You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” -  2 Chronicles 20:15, 17 INSPIRATION When King Jehoshaphat and the little tribe of Judah were besieged on all fronts by three powerful and bloody armies advancing rapidly towards Jerusalem (2 Chron. 20), the king began to seek the Lord and pray with hope before the entire congregation of Judah. This is when the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel, who spoke the words of the Lord which we read in today's Scripture. When Judah heard these words of hope, he humbled himself before the Lord, bowing to him and worshipping him. Toda

WALK IN HUMILITY: Daily Devotional

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life - (John 8:12)     The Lord Jesus is our perfect example in all: He was humbleness personified. You could not follow it or imitate it and miss out on your path. He said, "... he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." You could not follow his steps and walk with pride; that's impossible. Some say they are afraid that pride will take over them, no; not when you truly know and follow Jesus. The way in which He is followed is by the Word. Be a maker of the Word. 1 Peter 5:5 says, "You also, younger, submit to the elders. Yes, all of you, be submissive to one another, clothed in humility, for God resists pride, and grants grace to the humble." Be subject to the Lord and His Word; it is true humility. In Philippians 2:3 (AMPC), the Spirit adjures. Do nothing on the grounds of f

The Power of the Holy Spirit in The Life of a Christian: Teachings

The Holy Spirit dwells in all Christians, and because he is God and has all the power of God. He is capable of helping a Christian to overcome his inadequacy and to have a life and a witness which honors God. The secret of drawing power from Him is the secret of faith for us to live by the Spirit. Paul wrote to the Galatian believers, saying, "Live according to the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the desires of the sinful nature. In fact, the sinful nature desires that which is contrary to the Spirit, while the Spirit desires that which is contrary to the sinful nature. They come into conflict with each other, so you don't do what you want. However, if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not subject to the law" (Gal. 5:16-18). Living by the Spirit depends, moment after moment, on the power of the Spirit to conquer our own insufficiency. Christians must realize that in them there is the almighty power of God and that there is no problem that God cannot solve. Therefor

Is God real? : Teachings

How do you know God exists? Answer: We know that God is real because He has shown Himself to us in three ways: in creation, in His Word, and in His Son, Jesus Christ. The most fundamental proof of God's existence is just what He did. "Because since the creation of the world, the unseen qualities of God. His everlasting power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse" Romans 1:20. "The heavens speak the glory of God, the heavens speak the work of his hands." Psalm 19:1. If I found a wristwatch in the middle of a field, I would not think that it "appeared" from nowhere or that it always existed. According to the design of the watch, I assume there was a designer. But there is much more design and accurate in the world that surrounds us. Our measure of time is not based on a wristwatch, but on the work of God, the steady rotation of the earth. The universe is full of great designs

What is prayer? : Teachings

Prayer is the practice of God's presence. It is a place where pride is cast aside, hope is roused, and supplication is offered. Prayer is where we acknowledge our needs, embrace humility, and assert our dependence on God. Prayer is a necessary Christian practice. Prayer is the     practice     of faith and hope. Prayer is a privilege to touch the heart of the Father through the Son of God,     our Lord Jesus.                            The Bible says a lot about prayer. However, we often ignore prayer and try to achieve what we    have or want to achieve through our willpower. Having sinned many times before, we must get down on our knees, confess our sins, receive God's forgiveness, and ask that His will    be done rather than our own. God is sovereign and loving, and he knows what's best for us and others, even when it doesn't always    make the most sense.                                  We    often come to the Lord with legitimate requests for healing, conversio
